This paperweight magnifier is great for illuminating reading material especially with the bright LED lights. I wasn't sure of the batteries so have supplied new ones , one is fitted and the other in the wiper so as not to be activated in transport fit as the instructions which are included. The item comes with a zipped black case for care of the lens etc also an instruction guide and wiper to clean the lens and new batteries everything you need in fact. We bought this but didn't use as my wife had her cataracts done quicker than expected. It measures 5 cm high by 9 cm in diameter with a visible lens diameter of 6.8 cm
