This is an unusual vintage pair of sunglasses made by Marcolin of Italy. The temples are marked "Fantasy by Marcolin Frame Italy" and "MOD. 7059 COL 487 140". "6407" is stamped on the back of the bridge. The frame width is 5 1/2 inches, 139.7 mm; the temples are 9 inches, 228.6 mm. The lenses are 2 1/2 inches, 50.8 mm wide, and 1 7/8 inch, 47.63mm high. The brownish-red color of the glass is dark at the top and gradually lightens until it's clear near the bottom. The frame has an attractive etched design of leaves across the top and on the temples. The glasses are gently used in good condition.
