This is a reducing lens even though it looks like a traditional magnifier it has a specially engineered lens that does the exact opposite of a Magnifier, it makes things appear further away. It has a specially designed 1.75" double concave lens which provides 3.8x reducing (reduction), these are widely used by artists, painters, sculptures, landscapers, and graphic designers.
